The remote signalling of your intruder alarm system can be controlled by Digital Communicator, Dual Com (combined Digi & Aerial), RedCARE Signalling Transmission Unit (STU) or RedCARE GSM GID transmitting to a 24 Hour Manned Communication Centre.

REMOTE SIGNALLING OPTIONS

1 The remote signalling of your intruder alarm system may be controlled by Digital Communicator, Dual Com GPRS, Emizon or RedCARE Classic/GSM/Secure transmitting to a 24 Hour Manned Communication Centre, noted below, via:

• DIGITAL COMMUNICATOR – Single Path Signalling

Utilises a separated ex-directory incoming calls barred telephone line to dial the alarm receiving centre and signal an activation.

IMPORTANT: Your attention is drawn to the fact that failure or
compromise of single path signalling cannot be passed to the
Police. While the failure persists, subsequent alarms cannot be
signaled to the alarm receiving centre and passed to the police.
This may not be acceptable to your insurers.

NOTE: This method of signalling is expected to be gradually phased out with the introduction of the new fibre optic telephone networks in 2010 as there is a risk that some digital communicators will fail to operate on the new phone systems.

• DUALCOM GPRS – Dual Path Signalling

Offers dual path signalling on any telephone network, ADSL or ISDN and can share a telephone line, with a back up radio signal over the Vodafone network to ensure transmission of alarm signals in the event of the telephone line being tampered with or proving faulty and indication of a signal fault on the alarm keypad. Available in Grades 2, 3 or 4, depending on how often the line is polled.

NOTE: This service is subject to a signal strength test to verify availability in the area AND compatibility with any existing data transmissions (a filter may be required at extra cost)

• EMIZON – Dual Path Signalling

Offers the very latest in dual path signalling using IT technology to signal across the Internet on any existing broadband telephone line via the customer's router, with a back up radio signal over the GPRS network to ensure transmission of alarm signals. Available in Grades 2, 3 or 4, depending on how often the line is polled.

NOTE: This service is subject to a signal strength test to verify availability in the area.

• REDCARE SECURE – Dual Path Signalling

Future proof signalling and 21CN Compliant, Redcare Secure enables you to select between three security variants to meet your business demands. Depending on your business risk and the technology you use you can opt for Secure2, Secure 3 or Secure IP. With No hidden call charges you could make noticeable yearly savings on your phone bill. Available in Grades 2, 3 or IP, depending on how often the line is polled.

• REDCARE CLASSIC – Single Path Signalling

Uses an existing standard exchange BT telephone line (provided no form of electronic data transmission exists on the line, i.e. fax or modem, except for BT Broadband which is now compatible) to indicate both activations and line faults to the alarm receiving centre via a continuous electronic signal transmitted down the line.

• REDCARE GSM – Dual Path Signalling

Offers dual path signalling via any existing standard exchange BT telephone line (provided no form of electronic data transmission exists on the line, i.e. fax or modem, unless a Modem Compatible Device is fitted and the REN value does not exceed 3, except for Broadband lines which are now compatible with RedCARE) to indicate both activations and line faults to the alarm receiving centre via a continuous electronic signal transmitted down the line, combined with BT Cellnet's GSM radio network to ensure that if ever there is a break in the telephone line, the GSM network will continue to deliver alarm signals.

NOTE: This service is subject to a signal strength test to verify availability in the area.
