South East move to larger premises
October 3, 2007 - South East Security has moved to larger premises, giving them
over 6,000 sq. ft of space in addition to retaining their Retail Shop and
Locksmiths premises at 6 Sun Street.
The move, as a result of major expansion and to house it's 40-strong team, is
now complete and the offices are fully functional. The building includes a
purpose-built stores area, goods-in and warehouse area, meeting and training
rooms, staff canteen as well as corporate offices for the Administrative,
Guarding, Electrical, Engineering and Operations divisions.
As part of the Work Smarter campaign, the Company has invested over £25,000.00
in training, new technology and software to ensure a better and stronger service
for its customers. South East Security has partnered with Dell, PC Data and
Anglia Telecoms who have provided a state-of-the art server, systems and
software designed specifically to cope with requirements for the security
industry, including a direct link to the remaining premises at 6 Sun Street.
The system includes administration software for alarm installations, including
Customer and Service Management from first enquiry through to invoicing for
preventative and corrective maintenance and supports a full range of system
types from Intruder Alarms, through to CCTV, Access Control and Fire Alarms.
Engineers and Guards will soon be sporting the latest PDAs which have direct
access to the new system. The mobile system bridges the gap between the main
software in the office and the mobile engineers in the field and allows
real-time upload and download of Preventative and Corrective visits directly
from the main server to engineers’ PDAs using the GPRS network. Once the job has
been completed the full details of the visit including parts used, time taken
and customer signature will be sent back directly into the system with a report
of the job and work carried out being sent to the customer by email if required.
A full stock and purchasing system has also been implemented and will be run by
John Gresty, who has been appointed as the company's new Buyer and Warehouseman.
The latest Siemens phone and voicemail system has been installed and callers can
now get through to Accounts, Sales and Guarding immediately with direct dial
phone numbers for key staff.
Visitors to the office will also be able to see our engineers in action on a 50"
screen in Reception, which will show where our 15-strong engineering team are at
any point in the day.
Chris and Jan Purcell, founding Partners in South East Security, say the move
both accommodates the expansion of the company and will offer a more streamlined
and efficient service to the Company's existing and new client base.
"Our goal, as it has always been, is to offer the highest quality service
possible whilst still maintaining our family-based business roots" said Jan
Purcell.
Chris Purcell added: "Although we continue to expand and require a stronger,
more technologically-based emphasis in our business, we still want to retain our
friendly and personal approach. We believe this move and our investment in new
systems allows us to do both."
The new address is: Sentinel House, 38a Wilbury Way, Hitchin, Hertfordshire, SG4
0AP. The phone and fax numbers remain the same.
